Fall is for R&B. Whether it’s new Lucky Daye track or the latest single from Ari Lennox, there’s nothing like hearing the sound of a soulful track as you watch the colors of the leaves change. This week, Canada’s Melanie Durrant added just another song to your fall R&B playlist.
This week, the singer-songwriter known as Melanie Durrant connected with The Knemesis for the “Bait & Switch” video. Similar to the visuals she delivered for “Gone,” “Listen,” and several other tracks, the “Bait & Switch” video is colorful and cinematic.
The video starts off great as Melanie Durrant finds herself on a date complete with dinner, drinks and candles. However, things takes a turn for the worse when her date decides to spend more time on the phone than with her. Towards the end, the disrespect climbs to unbearable levels and Melanie Durrant walks out the door. For many, this is a story that is all too relatable.
“Everyone has their limits and many people have been in this kind of situation. My goal was to write music people can relate to,” the singer-songwriter said about her new song and video.
The official “Bait & Switch” video is out now and be sure to check out her new album, Where I’m At.
