Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ is moving along quite nicely with DC & Warner Brothers with a production start date finally set. While there’s no actor that has been linked to the caped crusader aka Bruce Wayne, Reeves and the studios are trekking on.
Per Production Weekly (Via Screen Rant):
However, Affleck is now out, and writer/director Reeves has been left to once again reinvent the costumed crimefighter with his upcoming film The Batman. It’s not yet known who’ll take over for Affleck in the lead role, but Production Weekly (via Comic Book) now reports that The Batman will begin production in December 2019.
There has been a long line of Bruce Wayne’s throughout the depiction of the Dark Knight with Cristian Bale and Ben Affleck being the most recent actors. With both of them ruled out to dawn the cape once again, there are multiple rumours swirling around for a new Batman. While there’s absolutely no validity to any of the rumours, Oscar Isaac, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Armie Hammer are all ‘supposedly’ front-runners to take the position.
If production begins soon, Reeves and Warner Brothers may want to pick their lead soon.
