Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes has often voiced his displeasure with the way he’s been treated throughout his career in the league. Barnes doesn’t have the best record of good interactions while being a member of the NBA.
He feels that if he did the same thing that James Harden recently did to LeBron James, it wouldn’t end well.
From Matt Barnes’ twitter.
BY THE WAY I GET FINNED 25k 4 KICKING A GATORADE CUP… LET ME KICK (LEBRON) & THE @NBA WOULD TRY & PUT ME IN JAIL. #Bull$h!t

Harden was suspended by the NBA for 1 game, a game in which the Houston Rockets play the Atlanta Hawks, for his actions towards LeBron.
Barnes might not completely agree with things everyone has to say about him or his team.
Barnes has faced disciplinary actions before due to kicking something. While it might not have been an actual person, it was a waterbottle that got sent into the stands.
Barnes does have a valid point in that the NBA would throw the book at Barnes but I doubt the NBA has the ability to incarcerate one of its players. Barnes does have a long history of getting too physical with other players in game situations, so it’s true that the league may take his reputation when deciding a punishment for these types of actions in the future.
Blaming the league for this seems a little over-the-top.
