Entertainment mogul Marlon Wayans has signed an overall deal with HBO’s newest streaming service, HBO Max. The first-look deal will include both scripted and unscripted series. Specifically, the deal will include a stand-up special, a comedy special hosted by Wayans and a half-hour comedy series called the Book of Marlon.
“Marlon is a triple threat with an impressive resume that speaks to his acting talent and comedy prowess,” HBO Max EVP of Original Comedy and Animation Suzanna Makkos stated.

“We are thrilled to have his unique voice and comedic vision join our growing family of creators,” Makkos added.
“I’m excited to be in business with HBO Max. Rick and I have had a lot of success in the streaming space and are excited to work with a company that is equally excited to work with us,” Wayans shared.
This is just the latest project for Wayans. The comedian and entrepreneur will also appear in Respect, On The Rocks and Ride Or Die. While HBO Max did not share the numbers involved in this deal to the public, it’s safe to say that Wayans will be very busy and paid handsomely for his work with HBO Max and other projects.
