It’s hard to say that a legendary pop star disappears from time to time, but that’s what Mariah Carey occasionally does. Wrapped in a life of luxury, Carey dips in and out of the spotlight as she wishes. Recently, she’s wished to be more so in the spotlight.
This summer, Mariah Carey has been more active than some artists who still have much to prove. Releasing new music each week, promoting the release of her upcoming book and appearing on television, the pop superstar has been as visible as she has been in years. Not to mention, she’s been more vocal about the injustices of Black Americans at the hands of police than some other pop superstars. Most recently, she joined Rihanna and Meg Thee Stallion by signing a letter that they hope will urge lawmakers to pas two police reform bills in the state of California.
Adding on to her growing list of power moves this month, Carey has teamed up with another legendary artist for a new track. As she preps the release of her upcoming book, she has released a new track called “Save The Day” with Lauryn Hill. Despite the two superstars dominating the 1990’s and beyond, this is just the second time fans will get a chance to hear the duo together.
It is not often that a pop superstar comes out to drop a book and multiple new projects in the same month. In fact, it may be unprecedented. For that reason and many more, check out “Save The Day” with Lauryn Hill and Mariah Carey.
