If there’s a movie studio that fails to miss, it’s Pixar. Over the years, the studio has delivered a number of hit movies including Monsters Inc., Up, Cars and The Incredibles. Just last year, the studio debuted the Academy Award-winning film, Soul, via Disney+. Now, they’re looking to get another award for their trophy shelf with Luca. In preparation for the summer release, Pixar has rolled out the first trailer for the heartwarming film.
“Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film, Luca, is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides,” Pixar writes.
“Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.”
Unlike Soul, this film will hit theaters on June 18. Check out the movie’s first trailer below.
