Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have agreed in principle to a boxing match on June 6, 2021 in Miami, Florida. Hard Rock Stadium is set to host the showdown this summer.
“The historic crossover event is signed and sealed! Mayweather vs. Paull [will be] live at Hard Rock [Stadium on] June 6,” Mayweather Promotions wrote on Instagram.
All of the details regarding the fight have not yet been shared with the public. For example, it is unclear how many rounds the fight will be. However, the two have agreed on the weight limit for each fighter. Standing at 6’2, Paul can weigh no more than 190 pounds for the fight. At 5’8, Mayweather Jr. can weigh no more than 160 pounds.
Paul enters the ring with a career record of zero wins and one loss. He last fought in 2019 against fellow social media star KSI. KSI beat Paul by split decision in a six-round bout at the Staples Center.
Despite having a weight disadvantage, Mayweather Jr. enters the ring with significantly more experience. The Michigan native enters the ring with 50 professional victories and no losses. His career includes victories against Oscar De La Hoya, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather last fought an exhibition bout in 2018 against Japanese kickboxing champion Tenshin Nasukawa.
