If there’s one thing that Lil’ Nas X knows how to do, it is making a splash with his videos. Over the last two years, the Georgia native has made noise with “Old Town Road,” “Holiday” and “Panini” videos. Most recently, he made headlines with the polarizing “Montero” video that seemingly depicted the homophobia and bigotry he’s experienced for much of his life This time around, Lil’ Nas X touches on some of the same topics, but in an even more personal manner.
Lil’ Nas X takes us back to high school for the “Sun Goes Down” video. The chart-topping artist appears to take us back to 2017 when he was trying to find his place not only in school, but in life. From his job at a local fast-food restaurant to his high school prom, the now popular musician puts his fans in his shoes as a young kid trying to figure things out.
“Sun Goes Down” continues his run of well-produced, well-thought-out videos. It’s unclear if this is all leading toward an album, but we’ll take it for what it is. Check out the “Sun Goes Down” video below.
