It is not often that two of the biggest artists in music come together to release a joint project. Thankfully, Lil’ Durk and Lil’ Baby have done it for this generation of artists. Voice of the Heroes connects the two hitmakers while bringing along chart-topping artists like Meek Mill, Young Thug, Rod Wave and Travis Scott for features.
“When it comes to that street sh*t, the streets [feel] like we [are] the voices and the heroes of this sh*t. [Do] you know what I’m saying? Kids look at us like heroes. I know they look at me like one and [Lil’] Durk, too. That n*gga [has] been holding it down for a minute,” Lil’ Baby told MTV News about the inspiration for the album.
The project kicks off with the title track that touches on the very same topics that Lil’ Baby discussed with MTV. Both artists accept their responsibilities in their respective communities and understand the importance of being leaders for those around them.
“Never get too big for me to listen, I’ll take your advice,” Lil’ Baby raps.
“I just told Durk, ‘We rich forever if we play it right’/Just keep on bein’ the voice, I’ll be the hero/And everything I got is a profit, started with zero.”
Voice of the Heroes starts off with the title track and then moves on to “2040” and “Hats Off” with Travis Scott. Get started on the joint album right now!
