This Friday, streaming services will be filled with new music from a wide selection of artists like Tove Lo, G Herbo and others. However, no artist will draw as much attention as Atlanta’s own, Lil’ Baby. Following his headlining performance at ONE Musicfest in his hometown, the Quality Control Music star will release his highly-anticipated album, It’s Only Me. In preparation for the project’s release, he flew up to New York and delivered a quick freestyle at Hot 97.
“I cannot be who you want me to be. If I were to switch it up, it wouldn’t be me. Look at all the work I put in. This sh*t didn’t come easily,” Lil’ Baby raps as Funkmaster Flex glares at the camera.
“They were there when people didn’t believe. 20,000 people! We just sold out in Phoenix.”
Lil’ Baby provided a taste of what fans can expect from It’s Only Me when it drops at midnight. As the tracklist indicates, the project will feature Nardo Wick, Young Thug, Fridayy, Future, Rylo Rodriguez, Jeremih, EST Gee and Pooh Shiesty along with the lead single, “Heyy.” Before the project arrives in full on Friday, check out his latest Funkmaster Flex freestyle at Hot 97 below.
