Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James suffered a groin injury in the Lakers’ Christmas-day matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers announced Wednesday that the injury is nothing serious – just a strained left groin. James has been listed as day-to-day:
Lakers forward LeBron James, who was injured in last night’s game at Golden State, underwent an MRI today which confirmed a strained left groin. James will be listed as day-to-day
James expressed his relief on Twitter that the injury was not more severe:

James has led the Lakers to a 20-14 record this season, good for fourth in the Western Conference.
On the season, James is averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game while shooting 51.8 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from 3-point range.
