On his Instagram page, Landry Shamet decided to let all his followers know that he has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
Spending the last three years as a Shocker, Shamet has proved to be a key contributor to this team. In his career at Wichita State, the Shockers have not been left out of the NCAA Tournament. This NCAAB season, Shamet lead the team in scoring with 14.9 points per game, shooting 48 percent from the field.
This was not an easy decision for Shamet as he feels really close to this team and the community. In an article by KWCH.com, he told reporters the following.
“This community has truly touched my heart in more ways than one could imagine. Every single person I’ve crossed paths with has impacted me and left a mark on me and I truly felt an obligation to give you all absolutely everything I had every time I put on that jersey.”
He is projected to go late first round in this year’s draft according to DefPen.com’s recent mock draft.
