With training camp a week away, NBA front offices are still evaluating unsigned NBA talent to see who they want to invite to their respective training camps.
It’s reported that the Los Angeles Lakers are entertaining the notion of sending an invitation to veteran point guard Sebastian Telfair.
As @MikeAScotto reported, Sebastian Telfair is on Lakers’ radar. Sources say if Telfair doesn’t ink NBA deal, he’ll likely return to China.

With Jordan Clarkson being moved to SG, the Lakers now only have rookie D’Angelo Russell and Brazilian pro Marcelo Huertas, as true point guards going into training camp. Lakers have contemplated bringing back veteran Metta World Peace, so it should come as no surprise that the Lakers are looking to add more veteran presence in their now young locker room.
Once upon a time it looked the sky was the limit for Sebastian Telfair. He was being hyped up like LeBron James was coming out of high school.
Telfair’s hype was so real, he got ESPN to do a documentary on his decision to go to Louisville or make the high school to pro jump. Well nine NBA teams later and two stints in China, Telfair never quite caught the hype but should be a serviceable back up if he is invited and makes the team.
