Head Coach Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers have landed the commitment of 2024 top 45 recruit and top ten point guard Labaron Philon. The 2024 four-star is not immediately a “one and done” prospect but does have the talent to play his way into that position. He should be an immediate impact freshman for the Tigers in 2024 when he lands on campus. Philon committed to the Auburn Tigers over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Kansas Jayhawks, Arkansas Razorbacks, Ole Miss Rebels, and Tennessee Volunteers. Auburn has landed two top recruits this week in the 2024 recruiting class.

Joining Labaron Philon in the 2024 recruiting class at Auburn is top 25 recruit and top three-point guard Tahaad Pettiford as well as top 90 recruit and top 15 center Peyton Marshall. Auburn is likely not done in the class with several other offers out to recruits in the class. Philon and Pettiford may both be listed as point guards, but the Aubur coaching staff is confident that they can co-exist on the same roster. Pettiford will likely be a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft either way.

Bruce Pearl has been excellent as a recruiter and college basketball coach. He will get the most out of Labaron Philon when he arrives on campus in the Fall of 2024. Depending on his level of play, Philon will head to the NBA in either the 2025 NBA Draft or the 2026 NBA Draft. When that does happen he will join a growing list of players that Pearl has helped get to the NBA.
