Kyle Kuzma has been the subject of various trade rumors since seeing his minutes reduced as a result of the Los Angeles Lakers landing superstar big man Anthony Davis. Now, the New York Knicks have emerged as a potential trade location for Kuzma, as The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that the two organizations have engaged in exploratory talks.

Kuzma, who was the Most Valuable Player in last year’s Rising Stars Challenge, is experiencing career-lows in all major statistical categories. Kuzma has only started in six of the 39 games he’s appeared in, and is averaging 13 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
One potential trade piece the Lakers could receive in return for Kuzma, according to Charania’s reporting, is forward Marcus Morris, who signed with the Knicks during this past offseason and is said to be coveted by numerous contending teams.
