On March 26th, at 3 p.m ET Kobe Bryant will debut “Canvas City: Musecage” on ABC’s NBA Countdown pre-game show. It is the second piece within the Canvas series in which he writes and directs. It will consist of a ten-minute video presentation with reactions from Kobe, Stage Steele and Jalen Rose following. Each of these pieces shines light upon an on-court topic from Kobe’s perspective.
When questioned about the new Canvas, Kobe stated the following,
“Canvas City: Musecage helps others better their best by delivering complex basketball insights in a light-hearted, easy-to-digest way.”
Kobe’s first Canvas piece, “Guarding the Greats,” made its first debut on NBA Countdown earlier this season on Christmas day. He informed us of some of the information about the series.
“The show helps others understand the game at a higher level and offers a new voice to sports storytelling that will hopefully captivate the whole family.
This Canvas will be broadcasted on NBA Sunday Showcase before tip-off of the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Houston Rockets game at 3:30 p.m. Mike Breen, Mark Jackson, Lisa Salters, Jeff Van Gundy and Stevie Javie will provide commentary after the segment is finished.
