You may not be able to see Daniel Craig star as James Bond again, but you may be able to see him play the role of Private Detective Benoit Blanc sooner than later. Variety has reported that director Rian Johnson’s latest work will likely debut in theaters and on Netflix during the fourth quarter of the 2022. In addition, the report indicates that Craig’s new film will make a run through prominent festivals before its wide release.
Details regarding the plot are still unclear, but many stars have signed on to appear in the highly-anticipated sequel. Alongside Craig, Kathryn Hahn, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe and Leslie Odom Jr. will appear in Knives Out II. Also, Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline will star in the sequel.
Behind the scenes, Johnson will return to write and direct the sequel. Joining Johnson, Ram Bergman will also produce the film.
Netflix has not revealed a specific release date. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
