New York Knicks have made strides towards success in the 2015-16 season after an abysmal 2014-15 campaign. In that time, Derek Fisher has held the reigns as head coach of the Knicks. It appears that his rule over the Knicks has come to an end after only 1 and 1/2 seasons.
ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne reports that The Knicks have fired Fisher and he will be replaced on an interim basis by Kurt Rambis. The Knicks have also confirmed the report.
Fisher had a 40-96 with the Knicks in his short coaching career. Recently the losing was apparently the final straw. The Knicks lost 9 of the last 10 games and they have a 23-31 record on the season.
