King Von’s first posthumous album, What It Means To Be King, has arrived. The 19-track project includes contributions from Tee Grizzley, Moneybagg Yo, Fivio Foreign, 21 Savage and OMB Peezy. Chicago natives Dreezy, DQFromDaO, Boss Top, G Herbo and Lil’ Durk also appear on the album. Rounding out the new album, Kid Hazel, Chopsquad DJ, Hitmaka and many more.
What It Means To Be King is the second LP in the Chicago artist’s impressive catalog. Shortly before his untimely passing in late 2020, King Von shared his debut studio album, Welcome To O Block. Complete with records like “I Am What I Am” and guest verse from Polo G and Lil’ Durk, the 37-minute effort highlighted the young artist’s energy and versatility.
In the weeks and months since his passing, King Von’s music has been kept alive in a number of ways. Polo G added a verse to “Flexin'” with Funkmaster Flex and Jerry Production put the finishing touches on the “Armed & Dangerous” video.
