Former Temple Owls sophomore guard Khalif Battle has announced he will transfer to the Arkansas Razorbacks this offseason. Head Coach Eric Musselman continues to prove he is the best coach in the NCAA when it comes to navigating the NCAA transfer portal. When Battle announced his intent to enter the transfer portal several high-major programs reached out to him. While the Razorbacks have reached out to jaw-dropping 100-plus prospects, with Battle there was fairly immediate interest between both sides. The Razorbacks are looking to reload and compete hard in the 2024 NCAA Tournament next year.

This past season as a sophomore for the Temple Owls, Khalif Battle averaged 17.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and one steal per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 41 percent and a three-point percentage of 35 percent. Two seasons before this past season, Battle had his season cut short, but showed the type of player he could become. He stayed healthy this year and fully showcased who he could be on the basketball court. With his performance this past season it makes sense that he’d want to move up to a high-major program. Battle will have the chance to prove he belongs during the 2023-24 college basketball season when he plays in the SEC.
