Fresh off of release his latest album, Free Spirit, Khalid is back in Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards. Last year, the Texas native earned five nominations and won the award show’s “Top New Artist” honor. This year, Khalid is back with six nominations including “Top R&B Artist” and “Top R&B Album”.

In addition to being nominated for a number of awards at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, the Billboard Music Award winner also took the stage. During his performance the El Paso singer performed “Talk” off of his first number one album, Free Spirit. Later, he transitioned into a performance of “Better”, which is nominated for an award later on this evening.

If you couldn’t catch Khalid tonight at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, don’t worry. He’ll be on tour for the rest of the year. He is set to perform at the Beale Street Music Festival this weekend. In addition, he’ll begin his Free Spirit World Tour later this month. The Pop and R&B artist will begin in Alabama on Ma 18th before making stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and many more major cities.
