Baylor Bears freshman guard Keyonte George has announced that he will declare for the 2023 NBA Draft. The freshman will forgo his college eligibility and enter the NBA. George had a great start to his first college basketball season, but an ankle injury slowed him down to close out the season. After he hurt his ankle, he was not quite the same, but has shown enough for NBA teams to be interested in him as a prospect. George should be a lottery pick in the 2023 NBA Draft later this season after a great year at Baylor.

In his sole season with the Baylor Bears, Keyonte George averaged 15.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 37.6 percent and a three-point percentage of 33.8 percent. George has the prototypical size and skillset to be a talented NBA prospect and has gotten those looks from NBA scouts while with the Baylor Bears. While his stock has perhaps slipped a bit, his ankle injury should not be a long-term problem. George should still be a lottery pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and even a top-ten pick on draft night. His impact on the college game has proven he has what it takes to make the NBA.
