The son of an NBA veteran, he will join a program that is in a rebuilding process after firing their previous head coach. The roster will depend on a few things, but it is shaping up to be solid under the first year of Head Coach Jerry Stackhouse. He was considering the Cincinnati Bearcats which is the school his father attended, but the departure of Mick Cronin to UCLA could have hurt their chances.
The soon to be freshman’s father was vocal on Twitter about the following job search that the university did with the departure of Cronin. His son will now be playing with his high school teammate and under the direction of a former NBA player and former NBA G League Coach of the Year.

Vanderbilt has a collection of talented three-star talent coming into the program and could be returning some talented experience as well. The two high school teammates should be multi-year players for the program and could be stabilizing players for the program rebuilding with a new head coach. Programs with sons of NBA players have mixed results, but the talent is unquestionably there with these two players. The incoming freshmen will be playing in the SEC for a few years at least.
