The Arizona State Sun Devils have hired Oregon Ducks offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham to serve as their next Head Coach. He has been the offensive coordinator for the Memphis Tigers, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, and Oregon Ducks before accepting his first head coaching job. Dillingham graduated from Arizona State in 2012 before he went on to coach at the college level. Arizona State fired Head Coach Herm Edwards in mid-September after a disastrous tenure with the program. While Dillingham might not be the experience some were looking for, he returns to his alma mater and injects youth into a program that needed a change.
Sun Devil nation, please welcome ASU graduate Kenny Dillingham back to the desert.

With no experience as a Head Coach, it is hard to say what the Arizona State Sun Devils will look like next year under the leadership of Kenny Dillingham. His staff will likely have several veterans on it to help counter his lack of experience in the position. Arizona State was a program bordering on a crisis and hiring an alumnus with new ideas could be exactly what they need moving into a new era. The PAC-12 will be up for grabs in the next few years and Arizona State would love to position itself near the top.
