After years of negotiations, Kell Brook and Amir Khan are reportedly working on a deal to fight on February 19, 2022 in Manchester.
“We are aiming for early next year, there are a few details still to confirm and it’s not been easy,” promoter Ben Shalom told ESPN.
“We [BOXXER] want to make a big investment in fights and we’ve got Josh Taylor versus Jack Catterall [Feb. 26] and Chris Eubank versus Liam Williams [date to be confirmed], but this is the biggest.”
Khan and Brook were working toward a fight in 2016, but negotiations fell through. Instead, both fighters went up to middleweight. Brook was stopped by Gennadiy Golovkin while Saul “Canelo” Alvarez knocked out Khan.
Khan is coming off a stoppage win against Billy Dib while Brook is entering this fight after a loss to Terence “Bud” Crawford.
