It appears that Keke Palmer has landed her next major role. In a recent interview with Palmer insinuated that she may appear in Sister Act III with Queen Latifah.
“I love that the rumors about me become so good that they become true,” she told Hollywood Life.
“I’m gonna go with this because I’m definitely cast in Sister Act 3–they even have it on IMDb at this point. It’s real. So I mean, they haven’t given me the contract, honey, but I will do it for free at this point. [IMDb] did set us all up because I looked at it myself and said, ‘When do I start filming?’”
Palmer did not go as far as to confirm that she will be involved with the picture, but it does appear that the film’s leading star, Queen Latifah, wants her to be a part of the picture.
“I’m gonna ask Keke to come,” Queen Latifah said in October.
“You know I want everybody to come in. I want Lizzo to come.”
Keke Palmer and Queen Latifah have a longstanding relationship that dates back more than a decade. While promoting her recent film, Nope, Palmer reflected on working with Queen Latifah on Joyful Noise and Ice Cube on The Longshots. The actress told Glamour that she was able to get more opportunities down the road because of their success.
“Because of their success, I got an opportunity,” Palmer said.
“Many young people want to find a way to get into the business and think that the only way you could be is onscreen.”
