Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has officially been reinstated after his eleven-game suspension. He was originally suspended by the NFL for six games. The NFL appealed wanting a full season, but after the appeal, the two sides came to a compromise of eleven games. Watson has had over 20 civil cases filed against him accusing him of sexual misconduct and sexual assault. This saga was in the midst of his demanding a trade from the Houston Texans. When the criminal case was dropped the Cleveland Browns put together a massive trade and new contract for the veteran quarterback.

In those eleven games, the Cleveland Browns have started veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett and he performed well in most games. The team is currently sitting at third in the AFC North with an overall record of 4-7. Deshaun Watson and the team will have some work to do if they hope to make the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs as a wildcard. The issue is Watson has not played regular season football since 2020 after sitting out and the suspension. Rust could be a real issue for the quarterback. Watson and the Browns take on his former team, the Houston Texans in Week Thirteen on Sunday, December 4th at one p.m. EST.
