“What can I say… a true little story. A song I really care about. A video I really care about. Enjoy it, it’s an honor to share it.” Kehlani wrote on Instagram as she shared the “Little Story” video.
Following the release of “altar” back in September, the black-and-white visual from Alexandra Thurmond and Kehlani, takes the singer from the stairs to the jungle gym to the fields as she begs for her love interest to return to her. Weaving in and out of electric guitars and violins, Khelani lays her flaws on the table in an attempt to draw her lover back to her.
“I want you to do it again/I want you to love me again and complete our little story/We got one hell of a story, you’re a hell of an author/That’s where I leave you, at the altar/Workin’ on being softer,” she sings.
Ultimately, Kehlani finds that the love that she’s been searching for all along has already found her. It’s just arrived in the form of a beautiful little daughter with chubby cheeks and a smile that can light up a room.
“You always been a dream to me,” she sings.
