After a year of being locked inside, we are all ready to just get outside and live life. For some of us, it’s best to do this with a significant other. For others, post-pandemic life will be best enjoyed with friends or on our own. In her latest single, Kayla Rae finds herself in the latter category. “Single” is an anthem for those cutting off the past and moving forward with a new mission in life.
“I’m finally single/Money on mind, I’m trying to see more/Tryna’ keep my energy peaceful/So, when you see me on my mind, don’t take it personal,” she sings.
“It’s my year and I mean it/Had a dream and I seen it/Don’t got no time for distractions/I’m bout that action/I promise I mean it.”
Adding to her new release, the Denver native flew out to Puerto Rico to shoot the “Single” video. Sitting by the beach and living to the fullest, the visuals bring the song to life.
“Finally single! [I have a] brand new original [that] I’ve been so excited to share with you all. [I] had so much fun shooting in Puerto Rico, I hope you love it,” she told her fans.
