Kawhi Leonard has won two NBA titles, expanded his brand and developed his own philanthropic efforts. Now, he’s expanding into the world of music. During a recent Instagram Live session, Leonard chopped it up with high school star Mikey Williams and announced that he would be releasing a new effort called Culture Jam.
“[The] Culture Jam project [is] just merging hip-hop and basketball together. You know what I mean,” he explained.
“Coming from our background, it goes hand in hand. [On] May 7, we’ve got NBA Youngboy and Rod Wave dropping a single. It’s fire. I appreciate you for being involved in it as well.”
The two-time NBA Champion has not unveiled a release date for the project. He also hasn’t explained if he will be rapping, producing or curating the music on the project. For now, he’s stuck to delivering a snippet of the new single coming Friday.
