
Vice President Kamala Harris will begin her third year in office by visiting the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. Visiting the city for the second time in six weeks, Harris is expected to host an event in which she will prop up the accomplishments of the Biden administration. Further details regarding the Vice President’s visit will be unveiled as her trip nears.
Vice President Kamala Harris is not the only top official to make travel arrangements for the month of January. President Joe Biden is expected to visit the state of Kentucky on Wednesday. While there, reports indicate that he will meet with Rep. Mitch McConnell, Sen. Sherrod Brown and Governor Mike DeWine among others. Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary has reportedly set plans to visit New London, Connecticut in January as well.
President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and other members of the administration are making an effort to be visible as the 118th United States Congress steps into office. Democrats have gained control of the Senate while the Republican Party has regained control of the House of Representatives. At the nation’s highest office, Biden has indicated that he will run for a second term, but has not officially put forth a statement saying that he will do so. If he does intend to run for another term, he will aim to push forth more of his policy agenda despite pushback from the GOP in the House of Representatives.
