
The NBA has fined Miami Heat forward Justise Winslow $15,000 for stepping on the protective mask of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid during Game 3 on April 19th. The league referred to the act as “unsportsmanlike conduct”.
Miami’s Justise Winslow has been fined $15,000 by NBA for intentionally stepping on Joel Embiid’s mask on Thursday night.

In what was Embiid’s first playoff game of his career after missing the first two games against the heat with a fractured orbital bone.

Embiid did not seem too concerned with his protective mask being stepped on. “Justise stepped on it and tried to break it with his hands,” Embiid said after the game via NBC’s Jessica Camerato. “But little do they know is that I have about 50 of them. So it’s going to take much more than that to get me out of the series. I’m going to be a nightmare for them, too.”
The two teams square off for Game 4 on Saturday, April 21 for a rare 2:30 p.m. EST start time.
