A new year brings new music.
Months after the release of RAW, JT of the City Girls is back to deliver a solo track called “Sideways.” The Miami native teased the track on Instagram while showcasing the view from her room. Shortly thereafter, she shared another version of the track after a fan suggested she “turn down the auto-tune” and allow her “real vocals” to shine.
“‘Sideways’ is a song, not a verse. In 2024, I want to go from, ‘JT has good verses!’ to ‘JT make good songs,'” she added.
Alongside Yung Miami, JT has influenced culture and topped the charts as one-half of the City Girls. Last October, the duo released their third studio album, RAW. As the project hit streaming services, she sat down with Interview Magazine and shared her desire to release more solo music.
“Even though I’m working hard, sometimes it just don’t be feeling like enough,” she said.
“I think that’s because I have yet to be in a place that I’m individually solidified. The City Girls’ next album is about to drop, and I want to put out that project and then sort everything out individually.”
