Jones, a three-time WNBA All-Star, has been a key contributor to the Sun’s championship aspirations. The team has several trips to the semifinals and in 2019 lost against the Washington Mystics in the fifth game of the WNBA Finals.
”I am so happy to be back in Connecticut”, said Jones on a press release. “This organization has believed in me since day one and I definitely feel like we have unfinished business. The fans want it, the front office wants it and the players want it. So now we just have to go out and get it done and bring a chip back to Mohegan Sun.”
Last season, Jones took another step in her career and posted career-highs of 19.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 31.7 minutes per game that earned her the Most Valuable Player Award.
