Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has undergone surgery to repair his torn left adductor muscle and will miss the rest of the 2022-23 NBA season. A brutal setback for the forward who played just 11 games after missing two years with a torn ACL. An MRI on Wednesday revealed the injury and on Friday he underwent the surgery to repair it. Isaac is now faced with more rehab after finally getting back on the court after missing years of basketball. The hope is his recovery will be much quicker this time around, but time will tell there.

In his 11 games back with the Orland Magic, Jonathan Isaac averaged five points, four rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game in just 11.3 minutes per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 41.5 percent and a three-point percentage of 40 percent. Isaac was just beginning to work his way back onto the court and was showcasing some flashes of his potential out of Florida State. Now he effectively starts over with his recovery and will have to work his way back on the court again. For now, it is unclear what his next step will be. The Magic’s next move is also unknown at this time.
