Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall will reportedly make his long-awaited return to the lineup Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets according to Chris Miller of NBC Sports. Wall has missed the last two months after knee surgery.
The Wizards hav missed Wall for the last 27 games, going 15-12 in those contests. They have dropped four of the last five, but are on the verge of cliniching a playoff spot with a victory against the Hornets. Washington initially started out winning ten of the first 13 games in which Wall was out, but they have slumped of late.
John Wall has season averages of 19.4 points, 9.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He was selected to his fifth All-Star Game as well, but was replaced by Pistons center Andre Drummond due to the injury.
Washington will get Wall back with seven games to play, though three of those are back to backs. It is unclear what kind of minutes restriction Wall will have, but with the Wizards a near lock to make the postseason, these next few games will be a tuneup for Wall.
