Slaughterhouse may not be actively recording music together, but they are all performing at the highest levels of their respective fields. In February, Royce Da 5’9 delivered one of the best albums of the year thus far, The Allegory. For nearly two dozen tracks, the Detroit native proved yet again one why he is considered among the all-time greats to ever pick up a microphone. Meanwhile, Joe Budden is handling things on the media side. With content on Spotify, YouTube and Revolt, he seems poised to earn a lucrative deal when he goes into negotiate a new deal with Spotify for his podcast later this year. Rounding out the talented group, Joell Ortiz and Kxng Crooked have continued their careers. Ortiz has dropped two quality projects over the last two years. Now, he’s reuniting with his Slaughterhouse brother, Kxng Crooked, for a new project.
Kxng Crooked has linked up with Joell Ortiz for a new project called H.A.R.D. As expected, the two rap circles around the entire industry for 25 minutes. Along the way, they link up with MRK SX and Joell Ortiz. Behind the scenes, they tapped in with the best of the best in terms of production. Illmind, Heatmakerz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Apollo Brown and Boogeyman. All in all, this project is for those of you out there that love Hip-Hop. Check out H.A.R.D above.
