There are few artists that stand out amongst their peers quite like jev. Not only is his pen extremely versatile, but he also brings a level of creativity that is both entertaining and attention-grabbing. Whether it’s his faux L.A. Leakers freestyles or his taste in fashion, he’s always living up to his title as a full-time creative. Most recently, jev. took us out to the beach to start off the summer in a way that only he can. His “Black Benz” video finds the full-time creative eating an expensive meal in a winter coat as he floats between the beach to the street and eventually, the park. All the while, he continues to deliver bar after bar.
“Me and the shooters [are] in sync. We pop n*ggas. You know we went number one, but I’d rather won,” he raps.
“Black Benz” is just the latest in a string of releases from the rising artist. Over the last few months, he’s dropped videos for “Black Samurai” and “lonrwrld.” Moving forward, he has plans to release new music in June and share some vinyl with fans.
