The pain for New York Jets fans will start up early this year, even before the season begins. One of their prime young stars has gone down with another big injury.
Dee Milliner, who missed most of last season with an achilles injury, will miss the start of the 2015 season with a wrist injury.

Cornerback Dee Milliner injured a tendon in his right wrist Thursday during practice. He will undergo surgery today and is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.
Milliner battled injuries to start last season, including an ailment with his ankle that kept him out of the first game. He made his season debut week two against the Green Bay Packers before he missed another two games. He then returned for a week 6 contest against the Denver Broncos, a game that would be his last of the 2014 season. He tore his achilles while he was rushing the kicker on a Broncos field-goal attempt. He fell to the turf on the routine play without contact with an opposing player and it just looked bad to the naked eye.
Milliner’s comeback could possibly be during the Jets bye week during week five. To start the season, the Jets square off with the Cleveland Browns at home, then they go to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Monday Night Football, then come back home for a game against the Philadelphia Eagles before they travel to London for a week four game with the Miami Dolphins.
The Jets picked Milliner with the number 9 selection in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He has started 14 regular season games in two season while totaling three interceptions and 21 passes defended.
A player who once touted himself as the best cornerback in the NFL has to at least get on the field to defend a statement many may still think is ludicrous for him to make.
