New Jazmine! Unfortunately, Missy Elliott isn’t here to shout that during the writing of this article. However, there is in fact new music from Jazmine Sullivan. To kick start the weekend, she has dropped a new song called “Tragic.”
“Why do you be looking for me to do all the work?/I’m so tired of coming through/You never put me first,” she sings.
“But I guide you like I’m on a 4-wheeler/Yeah I ride you like I’m at the car dealer/Pacify you but I’m paying the cost/And now I’m done pretending that you getting me off.”
Jazmine Sullivan’s weekend is just getting started. This weekend, she’s slated to perform at the 2021 BET Awards. She joins a list of performers that includes H.E.R, Tone Stith, City Girls, Kirk Franklin and several other stars. Sullivan’s Heaux Tales is also nominated for “Best Album” alongside The Weeknd’s After Hours, DaBaby’s Blame It On Baby, Nas’ King’s Disease and Megan Thee Stallion’s Good News. The awards ceremony is set to begin on June 27 at 8 p.m. ET in Los Angeles, California. For now, check out “Tragic” below.
