This move will keep the young but talented General Manager with the Suns organization for the considerable future. Phoniex is coming off a season where they were just two games shy of winning an NBA Championship. The Suns are also currently sitting atop the Western Conference as the number one seed. They also currently have the best record in the NBA.

James Jones has more than earned this contract extension from the Phoneix Suns. Jones is currently the reigning NBA Executive of the Year. While he has made many great decisions that have helped make the Suns’ contenders there is one that sticks out among the rest. The acquisition of Point Guard Chirs Paul was the move that helped put the Suns over the top.
