On Friday, April 12, 2025, Jalen Pitre agreed to a three-year extension with the Houston Texans worth $39 million. According to multiple reports, $30 million of the $39 million extension is guaranteed.
“We want to send a message,” Houston Texans DeMeco Ryans said. “To all of our young guys, when you do it the right way, guys like Stingley, Nico, young guys who came in and played really well for us, they became top players in the league at their positions, you want to reward those guys.”
Pitre is a third-year pro out of Baylor University with six interceptions, 497 total tackles, and two fumble recoveries. Unfortunately, his most recent season was cut short in Week 12 when he suffered a shoulder injury. Now, he’s preparing to return to the field as the Texans hope to build upon a run to the Divisional Round last season.
