As quiet as it has been kept, Jacquees has had a strong run this summer. Coming off of the success of his single, “At The Club”, in 2017, the Louisiana native came into the summer with an extended play project called This Time I’m Serious. A few months later, Jacquees made his official entrance to the game with his studio debut album, 4275. Complete with features Dej Loaf, Jagged Edge, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Young Thug and many more, the project climbed to number thirty-five on the Billboard 200 charts.
Riding the wave of his debut album, the Cash Money artist is back with a new freestyle called “Trip”. Reminiscent of his Quemix projects back in 2015, the freestyle goes over Ella Mai’s newest single, “Trip“. Jacquees sings, “I’ve got to roll with my gun on safety, so I don’t shoot where your new n*gga be. Girl, you’re dodging bullets trying to play me and I’m left to deal with how you made me.” In his usual fashion, the Cash Money singer-songwriter takes someone else’s beat and makes it uniquely his own.
