J. Cole has managed to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart with his first four studio albums. It appears that his latest release, The Off-Season, will be no different. According to the latest projections, the North Carolina native is set to top the Billboard 200 chart by moving 288,000 units of his new album last week.
“[I’m] sending a ‘thank you’ from Rwanda! [We have the] #1 album. I appreciate the love. I heard the noise from out here. The Off-Season means keep pushing yourself. I will do the same,” he tweeted.
The chart-topping artist is currently in Rwanda as he makes his pro basketball debut with the Rwanda Patriots of the Basketball Africa League. In his first game, the GRAMMY winner scored three points and grabbed three rebounds. Through three games, the Patriots have earned a 2-1 record and set themselves up to play in the quarterfinals later this week.
Moving forward, J. Cole has plans to release two more projects, It’s A Boy and The Fall Off. He has not indicated when either of those projects would be released.
