Wednesday, FXX delighted fans by dropping the trailer for season 14 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The gang’s all back again for the 14th time and being their usual scummy, lovable selves.
Last season ended with Mac (Rob McElhenney) finally coming out of the closet, paying off a storyline literally 13 years in the making. There’s no overt mention of it in the new trailer as the gang is up to their usual wild and wacky shenanigans though. I could try to break down the trailer here but it’s a machine gun of jokes and weird moments. I think Frank might be getting intimate with a melon? Who knows with him?
Check out the trailer below:
Currently only renewed through the end of this upcoming season, FX head John Landgraf recently stated that the series could continue on into its 15th and 16th years. However, he also stated that it was entirely up to the creative team behind the series. And, though no announcement has been made, I’d guess we’ll get at least one more season of the show. Even if it takes another extended hiatus as it did after season 12.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 14 premieres Wednesday, September 25th on FXX.
