
The 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards, hosted by R&B singer Usher have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Originally scheduled to take place on March 29, 2020, and air live, the award show has been rescheduled for a more appropriate time. Lizzo, Justin Bieber, and Halsey were listed to perform at the annual event. Usher was also booked to take the stage in performance in addition to fulfilling hosting duties.
“iHeartMedia and FOX will plan to reschedule at the appropriate time and will provide more information and relevant updates as they become available. Refunds are being issued to ticketed guests” writes iHeartRadio in an official statement.
The entertainment industry has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Live Nation has postponed arena tours. Annual events such as SXSW and Coachella have been canceled or postponed.
