In a free agency market that still has a few serviceable names remaining, the options became thinner on Monday when the New Orleans Pelicans made another point guard signing. They previously inked Rajon Rondo to a deal earlier in the summer and now, the Pels have also added Ian Clark to a one-year contract according to Shams Charania of The Vertical:

Head coach Alvin Gentry already confirmed that Rondo and Jrue Holiday will serve as the starting backcourt for the Pelicans this upcoming season. With an elite frontcourt already in place, their guard play sorely needed to be addressed this offseason and that’s exactly what the Pelicans did.
While Clark won’t move the needle substantially, he should still provide as a solid rotational piece as the backup point guard after years of sporadic playing time with the Golden State Warriors.
