“Do you love this game? I mean…do you love it with your whole heart? Because if you don’t, let’s not even bother. Let’s not open that door. They’re just gonna slam it right in our face,” Adam Sandler says he delivers the motivational speech of a lifetime in the first Hustle teaser.
In Netflix’s latest sports flick, Sandler plays the role of a basketball scout who is down on his luck when he discovers the next great international basketball star. In order to maximize his potential in the realm of professional basketball, Sandler takes the phenom to the U.S. where he trains and goes to battle with a number of NBA stars in hopes of making it to the league. Unfortunately, his toughest battles will come off of the court. Both he and the scout who discovered him must put their troubled pasts behind if they are going to go all the way.
Sandler is far from the only star involved in this project. The legendary comedian stands alongside LeBron James as the lead producers. On the court, NBA stars like Anthony Edwards and Kyle Lowry also make cameos. Not to mention, Queen Latifah and Greg Anthony make an appearance.
The worlds of basketball and film will collide on June 10, 2022 when Hustle hits Netflix. In the meantime, check out the teaser below and be on the look out for the full-length trailer this spring.
