Former Stanford Cardinal sophomore forward Harrison Ingram has announced that he has transferred to the North Carolina Tar Heels for next season. The former five-star recruit player for Stanford for two seasons and did not realize his aspirations to make the NBA after either season. Ingram considered the Tar Heels coming out of high school and now heads to the program for the 2023-24 college basketball season. Now with the Blue Blood program, Ingram will attempt to recapture some of the NBA stock that he has lost while playing college basketball the past two seasons.

This past season as a sophomore with the Stanford Cardinal, Harrison Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 40.8 percent and a three-point percentage of 31.9 percent. Ingram is looking for more of a point-forward role this upcoming season with the Tar Heels and the roster looks designed to fit his goals there. The Tar Heels had six players transfer out of the program this offseason and Ingram makes the fourth player to transfer into the program. That still leaves the program with two more roster spots to fill in the coming weeks or months.
