In the mid to late 2000s, few, if any, artists were talked about in the same way that Gucci Mane was. From his viral interview clips to his collaborations with Usher and Mariah Carey, the Atlanta native was hard to describe. He was and remains a unique figure in the world of entertainment. Over the years, he has done his best to remain out of legal trouble, expand his business endeavors and grow his brand. Still, the essence of the artist the world came to know nearly 20 years ago is still there. In his latest collaboration with DaBaby and 21 Savage, he promises to bring back that version of himself. The hard-hitting track from the trio possesses a grittiness and resolve that is reminiscent of the classic mixtape tracks that fans fell in love with.
“N*gga, this a ’06 Gucci Mane/Molly, n*gga, goin’ off a pill/N*gga walk around like Superman/Somebody calm him down, he boutta shoot the man,” Gucci Mane raps.
“Pistol whip your mans/She ridin’ with open hands/Pourin’ the Wock’, I’m tryna stand/Clap at the opps, think I’m a fan,” 21 Savage adds.
Gucci Mane, 21 Savage and DaBaby come together for their first joint release. Check out the highly-anticipated track below.
